China: Urumqi Railway Administration launches the first dedicated train this year for enjoying apricot blossoms

At 9:14 am on 25 March, Train No. D9966 departed from Urumqi to Turpan North Railway Station.

This is the first dedicated train this year for enjoying apricot blossoms operated by Urumqi Railway Administration, carrying 600 passengers to Xinjiang to enjoy beautiful apricot blossoms by high-speed railway.

It takes only 59 minutes for the train to arrive at Turpan North Railway Station. In the apricot plantation occupying around six square kilometres in Toksun County of Turpan city of Xinjiang, passengers can enjoy spring scenery, appreciate flowers, and watch various folk performances, such as horse racing, girl-chasing, Aqin Aytis and Kazakh Kures.

After appreciating flowers, passengers could take train No. D9965 back to Urumqi on the same night.
