15 May 2024: UIC Work Programme Opt-in 2025 An annual meeting where UIC presents its new opt-in projects for 2025, inviting members. This year the UIC energy sector is proposing five new projects: IRS Energy, Asset lifecycle, Cost reduction of catenary, Rail electrification, and Interoperable energy network
20 May 2024: IRS 70791 Review The updated IRS 70791 is under review by the experts of the UIC Railway Systems Forum (RSF) until 20 May 2024. This is the final step before the publication.
22 May 2024: H2TR project progress meeting Second progress meeting for technical sharing and discussions about the draft of the technical report.
End of May: Kick-off meeting for two new opt-in projects: Predictive maintenance and Eco-energy First meeting where the experts are invited to discuss the details of the project, such as scope of work, role and responsibilities.
3 June 2024: IRS 70014 Review The experts in the energy group are invited to check and comment on the updated IRS 70014 by 3 June 2024.
Date to be confirmed: RESS project progress meeting Third progress meeting of the year, with the presence of a battery system company in Europe for technical sharing on ESS solutions.
9 July 2024: Second E&ET meeting Regular meeting of our sector for members to discuss important matters within the sector, organised by UIC. The third meeting is expected to take place on 6 November 2024 outside of Paris. Experts are invited to the event. More details coming soon.
