The minister of Infrastructure and Waterworks informed the Dutch House of Commons that John Voppen will be the new CEO of ProRail, starting 1 December. Mr Voppen has been working in the Dutch railway sector since 2005 and has been Traffic Control director of ProRail. In 2016 John Voppen was chosen to be the COO and together with Pier Eringa (CEO) and Hans van Leeuwen (CFO) he shaped the new strategy of ProRail.

Ans Rietstra has been appointed as the new COO of ProRail. Mrs Rietstra was previously Director Projects of ProRail and has acquired a lot of administrative experience outside the railway sector. Hans van Leeuwen has been reappointed as CFO. With these appointments the Board of Directors has been completed. The new Board of Directors has been established under the supervision of the Supervisory Board.

ProRail is delighted with the new board of directors and continues to be fully committed to cooperating with UIC internally and on a bilateral basis.

UIC congratulates Mr Voppen on his appointment and wishes him every success in his new role.
