As the sole shareholder of Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko, a. s. (ZSSK), the Slovak Republic’s Minister of Transport and Construction has appointed a new Board of Directors to the company. Roman Koreň is the new Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director (CEO), replacing Filip Hlubocký.
Mr Koreň was born in 1979 and studied Rail Operations and Business at the Transport University in Žilina, Slovakia. He has held various senior management positions in the rail sector, both at ZSSK and the Slovak Ministry of Transport. Prior to his appointment as CEO of ZSSK, he served as Director of the EU and Strategic Projects Department.
