With the aim of increasing bilateral and international cooperation in the railway sector, Russia and Czech Republic met last week.
The discussions mainly focused on the increase in transit cargo levels and the high potential to extend 1520 gauge tracks to Bratislava and Vienna. The possibility of including Czech Republic in the project was also mentioned.
Finally, Russia and Czech Republic decided to create a joint working group made up of railway experts from both countries.
