In the highly competitive market for passenger and logistics services, there is an increased demand for technologies that improve operational efficiencies and cost reduction. All of these key technologies rely heavily on the collection, analysis and manipulation of quality data. This year’s conference will focus on trends in technology that include:

  • Business transformation tools, including workflow and collaboration technologies
  • Optimisation tools for routes and networks
  • Master data management in a collaborative environment
  • Mobility solutions

Again, the conference will take place during two half-day sessions at UIC Headquarters (Paris). The plenary session will take place on Thursday, 18 October, 14.00-18.00 followed by a welcome cocktail. It will be of interest to the general audience and focus on technology applications and standards. This will be complimented by a half day of workshops in specialised subject areas on Friday, 19 October, 9.00-12.00. Highlights of the two-day conference include:

  • Interoperability initiatives – TAF and TAP and new planning for implementation
  • Journey planning and timetable distribution
  • Seamless trip planning, booking and delivery
  • Data quality requirements – establishing reference data for freight and passenger applications

Despite low attendance compared to the previous years the conference has attracted a lot of interest.
