Covid-19 – impact on UIC

In accordance with the recommendations of the French government, please note that UIC has taken the following measures until further notice:

  • The UIC headquarters building will be closed as of 17 March 2020; no events and meetings are currently being held – however, for specific activities that cannot be done from home, some employees will occasionally go to work according to the rules established by the government
  • UIC office staff are otherwise asked by the French government to work from home

We have nevertheless made arrangements to maintain contact and our telephone lines and email remain fully operational. In order to meet your needs, we will continue to inform you of any updates regarding our projects. Wherever possible, scheduled meetings will be held using our video-conferencing facilities.

With this aim in mind, all UIC’s external contacts are asked to send their post in electronic format as well, and where appropriate with scanned attachments. Railway professionals and our regular partners and suppliers can continue to contact UIC staff by email and/or mobile phone during normal working hours.
