The seminar on International Innovative Technologies for Passenger Distribution Systems was held in Saint Petersburg from 25 – 26 May 2015, as reported in the 450th edition of UIC eNews: http://uic.org/com/uic-e-news/450

The seminar was organised by RZD FPC (Federal Passenger Company), UIC and OSJD, for discussion on the integration of different transport types in a unique optimised chain using new IT technologies (principles of integrated mobility) and development of e-commerce.

An aide-memoire was signed by Mr Mikhail Akulov, Chairman of the seminar, Vice-President of JSC RZD, Director General of JSC FPC, Mr Jean-Pierre Loubinoux, Director General of UIC and Mr Victor Zhukov, Deputy Chairman of the OSJD Committee.

The aide-memoire can be consulted here: http://uic.org/com/IMG/pdf/aide-memoire.pdf

This aide-memoire resumes the presentations of the speakers and provides the list of the seminar participants.

This high-level seminar provided an overview of the digital revolution in the passenger domain such as connecting passengers in trains, knowing the status of the customer in real time, and, of course, digital distribution of tickets.
The annual seminar serves as a platform for railways to openly discuss the integration of rail transport in the world transport system using innovative technologies.
