On the UIC North America 2016 programme of activities, UIC will be in Washington on 4 and 5 May for a couple of issues.

The 1st Regional meeting of UIC North American Members will be held on 4 May while UIC will take also advantage of its presence and of the presence of the other guests to organise a Workshop dedicated to Digital Developments and Security.

This issue is becoming increasingly topical around the world and UIC Members are very involved and concerned about these issues for which rail transportation must be totally prepared.

This Workshop will be organised on the premises of the World Bank with UIC North American Members, from the California High Speed Railway Authority, Amtrak, the AAR, to Canadian and APTA Members, Mineta Transport Institute, as they are also part of this Regional group.
