Meeting of the Finance Committee held on 2 June 2016 in Paris

On 2 June 2016 the annual Finance Committee brought together the Finance Directors of the UIC European active members. The meeting provided an opportunity for the moderators of seven permanent working groups to present their work in progress for 2015 and share the upcoming projects for 2016.

The meeting was chaired by David Sitruck, SNCF, President of the Finance Committee and Thierry Béra, UIC Finance Director. Reports were made by the groups PATRIC (audit passenger group), RCF 1 (Accounting and Financial Regulations – Passenger Working Party), RCF 2 (Accounting and Financial Regulations – Freight Working Party), RCF 3 (Financial relations between railways undertakings – Principles and terms of application) which presented an updated version of leaflet 311, ODC (Office of Debt Clearance), the Statistics Group which focuses on finance and railway statistics and the Taxation Group.

The meeting was further animated by a BCC presentation on the BCC membership, clearing transaction, membership conditions and admission procedure made by the BCC Manager Didier Moriceau. Aline Wego Head of EFU, UIC, talked at length about EU projects and external funding at UIC and Francis Bedel, UIC, who introduced the UIC Digital Platform. The next Financial Committee meeting is scheduled to be held in June 2017.
