JLV, a.s. company, a member of ČD Group, was awarded Most Innovative Caterer 2017 in the category Onboard Retail by the IRCG, the international organisation which associates providers of catering services on the railways, within its annual conference. The jury’s attention was drawn by the newly launched service Train Shop, which is provided under the ČD Restaurant brand. This on-board service, which is focused on non-food products, offers a range of useful little things that can sufficiently facilitate our customers’ journeys – besides classical chargers for electrical appliances and headphones/earphones our passengers are also offered power banks for trouble-free recharging of electrical appliances without a socket. While preparing regular seasonal changes, JLV is going to supplement this category of the offer with commemorative objects connected with significant anniversaries as well as travellers’ souvenirs.
IRCG – International Rail Catering Group
The International Rail Catering Group is an independent international non-governmental organization which associates the leading catering companies providing services on the railways. The organisation was established in 1965 in the town of Kiruna in Sweden. The main mission of the organisation is sharing experience gained on particular markets and increasing the level of catering and accommodation services on the railways collectively.
