Kazakhstan: The third container train with Kazakhstan’s grain is shipped from Zhaltyr station to the port of Ho Chi Minh City

On 10 February а container train composed of fifty 40-foot containers with a wheat assignment was sent from Dzhaltyr station of the Akmola branch of the railway to the port of Ho Chi Minh.

The 1350-ton cargo will be transported through the Dostyk border station along the transport corridor passing through the northern region of Kazakhstan, the port of Lianyungang and the countries of South-East Asia.

The train will arrive Dostyk station 72 hours after departure.

"The transport of agricultural products is a priority for us. This is the third container train, which we are sending from Dostyk station. The first batch of Kazakhstan’s grain to Vietnamese consumers was delivered in January last year, "said Nurym Zhaniyazov, director of Akmola department of the State Enterprise.

At present, mass shipments of grain to Vietnam are being organised. Thanks to the joint work of all participants in the transport process - the railway administration, consignors, local authorities, customs, veterinary, phytosanitary control, the quality of transport and logistics services is increasing.

According to the head of Saken Zhunusov station, the grain travels from Dzhaltyr station to CIS countries, Transcaucasia, the Baltic States, China, Iran and Afghanistan.
