Pickup, La Poste Group’s parcelshop network, has joined forces with SNCF Gares & Connexions to launch an automated package collection facility at Molsheim station in Alsace.
SNCF Gares & Connexions and La Poste Group have entered into this innovative partnership to make life easier and save time for their customers at Molsheim station. Now more than ever, Molsheim is firmly established as a hub of mobility not just for passengers, but also for local residents and visitors.
Customers can collect packages at the station in just a few seconds using the “Collect & Station” facility.
The Collect & Station service is used in conjunction with in-station package collection points, currently operated by Pickup, La Poste Group’s parcelship network.
It enables both travellers and local residents to pick up packages ordered from one of the 6,500 ecommerce sites offering delivery to Pickup stations.
The automatic collection point is installed in the Collect & Station area, located outside the station close to the carpark. Customers using the facility can collect their packages in less than 15 seconds at any time of the day - after work or during their daily commute, for example - within a period of three working days. 70% of customers using the new facility pick up their packages on the same day, but only 50% do so when collecting packages from a commercial parcelshop.
Proof positive that the solution offers real added value for customers by sending packages for collection to the station, right at the heart of their day-to-day journeys.
