France/Switzerland: Fabien Soulet appointed new Director General of TGV Lyria

As of 1 January 2019, Fabien Soulet is the new Director General of TGV Lyria, the jointly-owned subsidiary of SBB and SNCF.

Aged 44, and of French nationality, Fabien Soulet has a long-standing experience in international railway transport and in rail ticket distribution in France and Europe. He began his career as marketing project manager for Rail Europe (an SNCF subsidiary) in Bern, Switzerland, and held several positions within SNCF, where he was involved in the launch of voyages-sncf.com in 2000.

Over the last 14 years, Fabien Soulet has worked in distribution both in France and on a global level, though digital channels and travel agencies. Since 2015, he has been Business Marketing Director, and in this capacity has overseen SNCF’s sales in travel agencies, business relations with large companies and the marketing of SMEs.

Mr Soulet is of French mother tongue and speaks English and German. He succeeds Andreas Bergmann.
