To enhance familiarity with UIC and its activities, UIC is organising a series of web meetings for Asia-Pacific members. These sessions are designed to foster greater engagement in UIC initiatives and provide an opportunity for direct inquiries.
This particular session will focus on Rail Security. The webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of the UIC Security Platform, exploring how regional cooperation and strategic frameworks can collectively address modern security challenges across the Asia-Pacific region.
Attendees will gain insight into:
- Strategic Frameworks & Working Groups: Global security concepts and the operational pillars of 5 specialised working groups, including New Technologies, Human Factors, Regulations, Sabotage, and Crisis Management.
- Practical Tools & Innovation: Core collaborative resources such as the Network of Quick Responders and the UIC Rail Security Hub, alongside ongoing research projects.
- Interactive Regional Cooperation: A dedicated session to discuss Asia-Pacific members’ specific security needs and shape future engagement formats, including tailored webinars, training, or regional events.
