Main missions:
- High-speed projects management
- Coordination of activities, studies, projects, trainings and associated working groups
- Organisation of next High Speed Congress
Activities:
- Assistance to the Intercity and High Speed Committee
- Assistance to the Night Trains Working Group
- Assistance to the IRS High Speed Working Group
- Assistance in the production of high-speed and night trains atlases
- Tracking the progress of the high-speed sector
- Participate/lead in projects and working groups and provide the necessary assistance to their implementation
- Contribute to the activities of UIC’s regional structures (Asia-Pacific, Americas, Middle East, etc.)
Technical fields of activities:
- High-Speed and Night Trains Operations
- Statistics, Atlas
Specifics of the position:
- High level of autonomy and responsibility. Personal initiatives
- Frequent travel abroad, including outside Europe
- Work in direct liaison with the Passenger Director and with the President of the "Intercity and High Speed" sector
- Regular use of teleconferencing tools given the geographical extent covered, digital ecosystem tools and the Microsoft suite (including Excel and SQL)
- Flexible schedules, including morning and evening hours, due to time differences with regions such as Asia and the United States.
Links with other UIC entities:
- Links with the standardization team
- Liaison with Regional Coordinators
- Links with the "Rail System" Department for technical aspects
Professional knowledge and qualifications
Education & Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in the field of High Speed (Operation, Business, etc.)
- Level of study: Bac +5 (Master 2 or engineering school)
Professional knowledge and qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of the rail sector
- Work experience related to the position
- Good knowledge and experience in project management and development
- Fluent English (written, spoken) is essential
- A second language is a plus
- Experience in a multicultural and international environment is a plus
- Motivated, dynamic personality with an aptitude for teamwork
