Job Description: Junior Advisor Passenger – Information Systems

Seniority: At least 5 years of work experience in Digital field

Position in the organisation: Chart Passenger Department

Type of contract: Secondee from UIC member

Main duties

Main Duty:

  • Data management for timetable and location data
  • Support and assistance for timetable and location data providers
  • Support on IT systems linked to the activity of the passenger department


  • Support the timetable and location data deliveries
  • Maintain an overview of progress of the digital passenger department activities
  • Participate in projects and working groups and provide the necessary support for their accomplishment
  • Assist the UIC passenger technical and commercial activities

Technical areas of activities:

  • Timetable data and location data publication
  • Interface between distribution systems
  • Ticketing, tariffs, terms & Conditions
  • Digitalisation in railway stations
  • Digital projects for High Speed Rail

Job Specificities:

  • Good level of autonomy and responsibility and personal initiative
  • Work in direct connection with the Director of the Passenger Department, and with the Advisors of the Department

Links with other UIC entities:

  • Link with the digitalisation platform
  • Link with the Rail System platform

Skills required for the position

Professional knowledge and qualities required:

  • University studies license or Master Degree
  • Through knowledge of the Railway Sector
  • Strong skills in IT, database, web application, digital
  • Professional experience acquired in positions related to the profile
  • Motivated, dynamic personality with strong aptitude for team work
  • Previous experience within an international and multicultural environment is a plus
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), mandatory
  • A second language is a plus
