Spain’s AVE high speed train turns 20 this year and Renfe is commemorating the event with a big sale: 20,000 tickets available for travel for 20 days at just 20% of their normal price. From 20 April to 10 May the rail company will be selling 1000 tickets a day. The offer celebrates the 20th anniversary of the official opening of the Madrid-Seville high speed rail line on 20 April 1992 and the launch of commercial operations on 21 April 1992.
This offer makes it possible to travel by AVE high speed train from Madrid to Zaragoza for 12 euros, to Valencia for 16, to Seville for 17 and to Malaga for 18. Journeys from Barcelona to Zaragoza will cost from 13 euros, trips to Madrid 24, Cordoba 28 and Seville 29 euros.
Ticket sales start on 20 April across all sales channels: www.renfe.com, ticket offices and travel agencies, available between 20 April and 10 May.
