On 18 February, a delegation of nine members of Korea Railroad (KORAIL) visited UIC Headquarters to discuss the role of UIC in the development of expertise and training.
The delegation included Director of the Human Resources Dept. Mr KIM Jin-Ho, Director of the Management Audit Dept. Mr KIM Ho-Soon, Director of the Signalling Dept. Mr KO Joon-Young, General Manager of the Conventional RS Dept. Mr LEE Soo-Man and Head-Officer of the Personnel & Labour Office Mr JEON Chan-Ho.
Director of Institutional Relations Mr Vincent VU delivered a general presentation about UIC, and Head of the Expertise Development Unit Ms Nathalie AMIRAULT presented the International Training activities at UIC, including the next SIAFI (Interactive Sessions on International Railway Business) for young railway managers and the 2nd World Congress on Rail Training to be held in St-Pölten/Vienna from 24 – 26 April 2013.
After these presentations, a discussion was held on the cooperation between KORAIL and UIC, such as the possible secondment of staff to UIC, the participation of KORAIL in UIC events and UIC strategic railway training study in the Asia-Pacific.
