A conference was held at UIC on 22 June in order to share with all the UIC staff the significant progress made in the area of innovation.
The world of transport and thus that of the mobility of goods and people is experiencing profound development and the areas of information technology and digital information are undergoing revolutionary changes.
As the pace of these developments increase and the changes become more significant, this could have consequences on the methods of work. This revolution could generate significant progress but also raise worries or concerns.
Mr Loubinoux, Director General of UIC, invited Mr Gilbert Réveillon, President of the Committee on International Communications and Information Policy, Foreign Trade Advisor for France and Associate Professor at the Ecole des Mines de Paris, who presented the hindrances and drivers of these latest innovations in the subject area.
It is in these areas that UIC should continue to help the international railway community as a vector for sharing, knowledge and proposals, and it is with this view that a digital platform will almost certainly be proposed in the near future to our international community.
