Anis Oueslati graduated from the IHEC (Institut Supérieur des Hautes Etudes Commerciales) Business School in Tunis, and the ENA – National School of Administration in Tunis. He is the Comptroller General of the Public Accounts and served as Chairman of the High Commission of the Control and Audit of Public Contracts from 2014 to 2016, then Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment and Local Affairs since January 2017 before being appointed President Director General of Tunisian National Railways (SNCFT) on 17 October 2017, succeeding Mrs Sarra Rejeb, who has been appointed Secretary of State to the Minister of Transport.

In his capacity as President Director General of the SNCFT, Mr Anis Oueslati will chair the Union of African Railways (UAC), a specialised agency of the African Union (AU).
