Mr Jiří Svoboda, Director General of Czech Rail Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC) addressed key speech at the third Conference of the Association of Czech Rail Freight Operators (ŽESNAD.CZ) organised traditionally in Špindlerův Mlýn on 23 May 2019. Key stakeholders of Czech rail market participated in the conference including two Deputies from the Ministry of Transport, the Director of the Rail Regulatory Authority, the Director of the Rail Safety Authority etc.

Mr Jiří Svoboda presented SŽDC’s new strategy , scheduled construction works on the main corridors in the coming years and construction of new lines and high-speed infrastructure, which allows more capacity for rail cargo business on conventional lines in the country.

In the discussion, Mr Jiří Svoboda answered the large number of questions and suggestions of the rail cargo operators. The discussion within the conference is a good practice within an open Czech rail market with a total number of 104 operators.
