Railway training centres network


The Railway companies are confronted with important challenges in the future years, which will affect the competencies and skills of railway staff. Therefore, the training providers and HR partners have the task to provide services that enable the railway companies to keep step with these challenges by meeting the current and future training and workforce development needs. The Railway Training Centres Network is a working group composed by global training providers and HR experts, which aims at enhancing workforce development through sharing best practice in rail training, talent and development across the entire industry.

Meetings:
3 regular working meetings per year (at least 1 in presence)
Regular actions in between depending on the workload.

Objectives

The working group holds three meetings per year and at least one annual event to bring together experts from different training centres to:

  • Discuss and share new methodologies and techniques in relation to learning and development;
  • Enhance the effective working of the different regional training centres;
  • Strengthen workforce development through sharing best practice in rail training across the entire industry;
  • Benchmark between training practices in order to improve the quality of rail training centres;
  • Produce recommendations.
