La 19ème édition de CinéRail , le festival international ‘Train, Metro et Cinéma’, s’est déroulée avec un grand succès du 15 au 22 mars à Paris, dans les cinémas ‘Le Reflet Médicis’ et ‘L’Arlequin’.
Ce sont plusieurs milliers de spectateurs qui ont assisté aux diverses projections de longs métrages sur le thème de ‘La Route des Indes’ ainsi qu’aux présentations de courts métrages, documentaires, films d’entreprises ou spots de télévision. Plusieurs compétitions avaient lieu sous la présidence du réalisateur indien Vijay Singh, Président du jury. Il est à noter que Hokwon Cho et Enno Wiebe faisaient partie du jury international pour les films « corporate ».
La journée corporate organisée le 22 mars à l’UIC, a permis de présenter des films produits en 2010 pour des entreprises ferroviaires et de transports publics. A l’issue d’une matinée de projections, les prix de cette catégorie ont été annoncés : CinéRail d’Or du Film d’Entreprise à « L’Expert », film fort et efficace produit pour les CFF sur le thème de la sécurité et des accidents au poste de travail, le CinéRail d’Or de la Publicité à « Let’s go Together », réalisé pour Translink, Irlande du Nord, le Prix Spécial du Jury Communication d’Entreprise à « Paris-Deauville Code » de SNCF Intercités, la Mention Spéciale du Jury Publicité à « Die Klima-Stars » produit pour Üstra Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe AG, et une Mention Spéciale pour la Qualité des Films à « Gautrain », Afrique du Sud. Le CinéRail d’Or du festival grand public a été décerné, en présence de Vijay Singh, au film australien « God’s Fools » lors de la soirée de clôture à laquelle participait le directeur général de l’UIC Jean-Pierre Loubinoux.
CinéRail est organisé par la SNCF, l’UIC, la RATP et de nombreux partenaires, UITP, institutions, médias, etc. Son président est Bernard Emsellem, directeur général délégué Ecomobilité à la SNCF, les vice-présidents Paul Véron de l’UIC et Gilles Alligner, ex dircom de la RATP, PDG de Promométro, et la secrétaire générale Mireille Martin.
The 19th edition of CineRail, the international railway film festival (“Train & Metro on Film”), was successfully held from 15 – 22 March at the Reflet Médicis and L’Arlequin cinemas in Paris.
Several thousand members of the public attended a broad range of feature-length films themed around “A passage to India”, as well as short films, documentaries, corporate films and television spots. Several competitions were held under the chairmanship of Indian film-maker Vijay Singh, Chairman of the Jury. It should be mentioned that Ho Kwon Cho and Enno Wiebe were part of the international panel of judges assessing the corporate films.
The UIC Corporate Film Days event held on 22 March was an opportunity to show films made for railway and public transport companies in 2010. Following a morning of screenings, the prizes for this category were announced: the Golden CineRail for a Corporate Film was awarded to L’Expert, a powerful and effective film produced for SBB on the topic of safety and accidents in the workplace; the Golden CineRail for an Advertising Film went to Let’s go Together, produced for Northern Ireland’s Translink; the Special Jury Prize for a Corporate Film was awarded to Paris Deauville Code, commissioned by SNCF Intercités; the Special Mention of the Jury for an Advertising Film was awarded to Die Klima-Stars, produced for Üstra Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe AG and the Special Mention of the Jury for the quality of the films entered went to South Africa’s Gautrain. A CineRail Grand Prix was awarded to the Australian film God’s Fools during the closing ceremony of the festival, which was attended by Vijay Singh and UIC Director-General Jean-Pierre Loubinoux.
CineRail is organised by SNCF, UIC, RATP and a number of other partners, including UITP, various institutions and the media, etc. CineRail is chaired by Bernard Emsellem, Deputy Director-General for Eco-mobility at SNCF: its vice-chairmen are Paul Véron from UIC and Gilles Alligner, former Communications Director at RATP and CEO of Promométro, with Mireille Martin as CineRail Secretary-General.
