Chekib Regaieg has been named as CEO of the Tunisian National Railway Company (SNCFT). He is a graduate of the National Engineering School of Monastir (ENIM), and holds a Principal Engineer degree in Electrical Engineering.

Before his appointment, Regaieg was the Managing Director of SOTRAFER (a railway works company). He also previously held positions as Head of the Department for Environmental Project Monitoring and Head of the Southern Tunis Suburban Unit.

As CEO of SNCFT, Regaieg holds the presidency of the African Union of Railways (AUR), a specialised institution of the African Union.

Regaieg is married with two children.
