On 27 and 28 November 2025, the annual meeting of the Passenger Accessibility, Ticketing and Reservation Information Collaboration (PATRIC) working group took place at the headquarters of Czech Railways (ČD) in Prague.

PATRIC operates under the umbrella of the UIC Passenger Services Group (PSG), which plays a key role in improving the quality, accessibility, and interoperability of international rail services.

The topics discussed included feedback from the 2025 audits, finalisation of the 2026 audit plan, and political and organisational issues, notably the re-establishment of the Advisory Board.

An additional point was the Open Sales and Distribution Model (OSDM) certification updates. A new online interface was developed to facilitate testing, especially for operators facing technical restrictions. Several companies, including Iryo, Trenitalia, and Benerail, expressed their interest in being certified.

The meeting also identified training needs for 2026. Proposed topics for 2026 include OSDM certification, International Rail Transport Committee (CIT) updates, audit statistics tools, Passenger Knowledge Management Workspace (PKMW), Group of Six (G6) tools, and etcd open source.

Finally, an update of the railway undertakings (RU) list was discussed, based on international sales activity, cross-border connections, and announcements of new IT systems.

The next PATRIC meeting is scheduled for April 2026, with a continued focus on interoperability, digital transformation, and customer-centric innovation.
