This online event will bring together railway experts and industry professionals from around the world to share experiences, lessons learned and best practices in managing the security challenges associated with major international events.

The programme will feature presentations from railways and transport organisations involved in some of the world’s largest sporting and public events, including the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, the Jubilee 2025 and Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, and preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2030. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about operational challenges and the security strategies, crowd management approaches and innovative solutions implemented by leading railway stakeholders, such as SNCF (France), FSI (Italy), RFP (India) and ONCF (Morocco). Additional speakers may be added as the programme is updated.

The session will combine expert presentations and discussions with Q&A opportunities. In addition, participants will learn all about UIC’s resources and guidance related to crowd and major event management.
