Slovenian Railways Passenger Transport (Slovenske železnice (SŽ) – Potniški promet) has been awarded the prestigious Best National Campaign prize at the Rail Tourism Awards 2024. The recognition comes from the European Travel Commission (ETC) in cooperation with Eurail, highlighting the company’s “New Generation Trains” campaign as one of the most innovative and inspiring efforts to promote sustainable train travel.
A winning campaign with emotional resonance
The New Generation Trains campaign, developed by the SŽ passenger transport team and directed by renowned Slovenian filmmaker Ven Jemeršić, stood out to the expert panel for its emotional depth and engaging storytelling. The campaign video captures a compelling narrative, emphasising the importance of sustainable mobility and evoking a strong emotional connection to the role of trains in creating a greener future.
