On 15 September the General Assembly of AFFI (French association of rail engineers) was held at UIC Headquarters. As it happens, Jean-Pierre Loubinoux had been nominated as Chairman of AFFI in 2009.

At the General Assembly, Hubert du Mesnil presented the background behind the new performance contract. It was a particularly interesting presentation which gave rise to many questions that he answered.

UIC was present among the participants, since around ten UIC technical experts are also members of AFFI and can thus make the most of the various events organised and contacts provided by the latter organisation.
