On 28 January, the first year meeting of AFFI (French association of rail engineers) was held at the Romanian embassy in Paris, in presence of Mrs. Roxana Istinié, former Minister plenipotentiary of Foreign Affairs in the Romanian government.
Guillaume Pepy, President of SNCF, was the honour guest of this meeting. He presented the developments of the high speed system in France and in the entire world. He insisted on the fact that engineers are the necessary basis to achieve such developments.
UIC was present among the two hundreds participants, since around twenty UIC technical experts are also members of AFFI and can thus make the most of the various events organised and contacts provided by the latter organisation.
