The 176th issue of UIC e-News (released 9 March 2010) reported on the CineRail ‘Corporate Film Days’ (presentations of company films commissioned by UIC Member railways) held at UIC HQ on 4-5 March, and on the films/audiovisuals awarded prizes by an international jury during the corporate films competition.

CineRail 2010 once more proved successful and attracted a high turnout of spectators to the cinemas where a wide variety of films from across the globe involving railways, stations, passengers, railwaymen, etc. were screened.

Yet again, CineRail succeeded in demonstrating the close link between people’s lives and the railway world. This special bond was highlighted at the closing ceremony on 9 March by CineRail Chairman Bernard Emsellem (recently appointed Deputy Director General for Eco-Mobility at SNCF) who had already invited the public as well as all the professionals from the audiovisual industry and railway communications sector to attend the 19th (2011) edition.

CineRail is backed by SNCF, UIC, RATP, UITP and a large number of partners from transport, media and audiovisual sectors.
