Energy Roadmap

Christophe Chéron (SNCF) as work ERRAC WP01 leader announces that the first draft of the “Energy Roadmap” will be available at the end of May 2010. Enno Wiebe (UIC) underlines the strong need to incorporate the existing UIC strategy documents like the PTR Strategy Programme 2020 for Rolling Stock and the UIC Environment and Sustainability Strategy “Moving towards Sustainable Mobility Rail Sector Strategy 2030 and beyond”.

The work in ERRAC cannot be done by a handful of members only but requires a strong input from the overall railway sector. The European Rail Research Advisory Council represents the railways in dealings with the European Commission. Good and creative ideas are very welcome here, setting up the ERRAC Roadmap by putting the right ideas on the track and defining the way ahead. All UIC members are invited to strongly contribute via the UIC platforms and via the ERRAC Key Contact Persons.
