This week sees the beginning of the transformation of Brussels North railway station. Over the next five years the station concourse, entrances and pedestrian subways will be completely modernised. The building will become more accessible, intermodality will be enhanced and retail activity expanded. Put simply, travelling through and waiting at the station will become a more enjoyable experience.
With over 40,000 travellers passing through daily, Brussels North is the fourth busiest station in the country. Over the last few years various projects have already been carried out on the station, including the redecorating of the exterior walls, the renovation of the woodwork and roof, and the extension of the station canopy to cover 400 m along the platforms.
