The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is involved in overseeing the construction of a high speed railway line set to link China and Singapore. The line will stretch from Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province in southwest China, to the Lion City, spanning 5500 km across several countries in Southeast Asia. The line, which could become a flourishing economic corridor, is to be completed by 2015.
