As of 15th September 2010, the Minister of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications of the Slovak Republic, appointed a new board of directors of ZSSK. Mr. Pavel Kravec became new chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General, replacing Mr. Milan Chupek.

Mr. Kravec was born in 1957. He graduated from Comenius University in Bratislava, where he received a master’s degree in personnel management. Mr. Kravec has worked in various positions in the Slovak railway sector and at the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. Before his appointment as CEO of ZSSK, he served as Director of the Railways Department at the Ministry of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications.
