A Cooperation Agreement signed in Beijing between Southwest Jiaotong University and UIC

A Cooperation Agreement between UIC and Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) was signed in Beijing last week by Mr Jean-Pierre Loubinoux, UIC Director-General, and the representative of the Technical University, in the framework of the UIC statutory meetings and the UIC World Congress on High Speed Rail both held in Beijing last week.

By this agreement, UIC and SWJTU strengthen their work in the field of technical expertise and training by entering into the following agreement for joint cooperation:

  • UIC and SWJTU agree to send and receive personnel and for the purposes of academic exchange, SWJTU shall invite UIC experts to China in order to give lectures to teachers and students.
  • SWJTU shall send internship students to UIC.
  • UIC and SWJTU agree to deepen their exchanges in the field of technical research and training.
  • Maintain contact and ensure implementation of the agreement.

Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) is situated in Chengdu, the provincial capital of Sichuan Province. It has developed into an engineering-highlighted multi-disciplinary university incorporating science, management, economics, liberal arts and law.
