On 2 February, representatives from ERFA and UIP participated for the first time in the UIC working group session called Technical Inspection.

This working group writes down, updates or proposes modifications to the rules and prescriptions to be fulfilled by wagons at the handover point between freight railways. The output and deliverables of this group are mainly included in Annex 11 of the GCU: General Contract of Use for wagons.

So far the three associations ERFA, UIC and UIP are working closer together to regularly update the GCU and to continue to provide the best service to the parties and the railway sector.
