Over one hundred metal detector frames are being installed in the railway stations of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, according to information issued by Russian Railways (RZD). On 13 February the Russian railway company organised the second meeting of the inter-ministerial working group on reinforcing rail transport security. During the meeting, the participants discussed the implementation of security measures to provide increased security, following which they inspected several railway stations in Moscow to see how the metal detector frames worked.
