The Boards of Directors of SNCB and Infrabel have approved an action plan to improve train service punctuality. Over a hundred practical measures set to make a significant impact in the near to mid-term are in the pipeline. This action plan is the result of lengthy preparatory work undertaken by experts from Infrabel and SNCB in collaboration with consultancy firms AD Little and SMA. The next step will be the actual implementation of these action points.
The plan is composed of just over a hundred points requiring organisational adjustments, revision of some procedures, changes at operational level and other additional measures, which, in the short to mid-term, should improve punctuality rates. The two railway companies will work in close collaboration to implement these measures, with specific actions subsequently performed within each company’s sphere of activity.
