This seminar will be held in Ifrane, Morocco, from 20 to 22 April 2010. It ties in with UIC security priorities (links between security and safety, security in high speed rail) and follows on from the seminar held in Marrakech in March 2009.
The seminar is jointly organised by ONCF and UIC with a view to the upcoming opening of the first African high speed line linking Tangier to Kenitra.
200 participants are currently pre-registered. The seminar will focus on practical aspects relating to safety and security when a high speed system is completed and opened to revenue service.
Specific topics to be addressed will include:
- Safety for infrastructure/high speed rail system
- Safety for rolling stock
- Operations
