Environmental asset management is becoming a matter of crucial importance in the rail sector. The era we live in urges for advanced technology and efficient use of rail assets in order to prevent railway accidents and also to balance economic results. In-depth research and development in rail asset management will ensure safe and efficient operation and maintenance of infrastructure and facilities.

For over a decade, railway people in Europe led by UIC have been continuously striving to minimise risks and costs of rail assets throughout its life cycle assessment (LCA).

UIC would like to take this seminar as an opportunity to disseminate the outcome of the UIC efforts, share also Korean and Asian experiences and expand partnership in Asia by hosting a workshop in Korea.

This event, that will take place in Daejeon, Korea on 6 and 7 October, will bring experts from Europe, Korea, and Asia together who will share their expertise based on experience and model practices to enhance rail asset management.

We welcome participants from those who are seeking development, taking the industry to a new level.
