According to Senegal Press Agency (APS), the state of Senegal is to renew its railway network between Dakara and Thies (the country’s second largest urban area) by 2014. The work will be financed by the World Bank, the West African Development Bank (WADB) and the Senegalese government at a cost of 8.145 billion CFA francs (around 12.4 million euros).
