The 9th Asian Management Committee (AMC) and the 12th Asian Regional Assembly (ARA) were held in Goa, India, from 21 – 23 November 2011 at the kind invitation of Indian Railways.

It was also the opportunity for the Asian members to hold a fruitful and concrete exchange and to decide on the 2012 projects and budget.

The AMC and ARA meetings gave a positive impression and a constructive perception of the future development of the Asian region.

In addition to the statutory meetings, the 2nd UIC ARA Technical Directors’ meeting was held on passenger activities and safety & human factors issues.

The next AMC and ARA will be organised in Taipei in April 2012, at the kind invitation of THSRC, with the 2nd UIC Workshop on High Speed Railway Maintenance and the 3rd UIC ARA Technical Directors’ meeting.
