On 19 January, UIC Director-General Jean-Pierre Loubinoux met all the Latin American Ambassadors present at the New Year’s reception hosted by MEDEF International, of which he is Vice-Chairman for Argentina. This meeting served as an opportunity to raise the issue of railway sector development in the context of trade within MERCOSUR, and all the added value that UIC can bring to its new members in both Argentina and Brazil.
