From 24 – 25 September 2012 a special art train, “Cosmic Underground”, visited Riga, the capital of Latvia. The Cosmic Underground experience is a story of Time Dimension told through audiovisual installations, theatrical performances and live music happenings held onboard 10 cargo train carriages. Five shows were performed at Riga central passenger station each evening. On 24 September a press conference took place aboard the train, attended by representatives from the Polish Embassy in Latvia and State Joint Stock Company “Latvijas dzelzceļš”.

“Cosmic Underground” – a special multidisciplinary train – is an international project with the idea of connecting people from West and East Europe, beyond historical, cultural and linguistic differences. The train will travel through five European countries: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Portugal, visiting 13 cities. The project is financially supported by the EU Culture Programme and the European Commission. In Latvia it is supported by SJSC “Latvijas dzelzceļš”.
