Raben Group and VR Transpoint to cooperate in Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic

VR Transpoint has concluded a cooperation agreement with Raben Group on road transport to Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The cooperation starts on 29 October 2012 and covers all groupage, part and full load transport by road between Finland and the countries of Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

“Thanks to the cooperation we are able to offer even more competitive and higher quality transport services in cooperation with Raben Group, one of the leading logistics operators in these countries. Going forward, we will extend our service to other countries in which Raben Group operates”, says the head of VR Group’s Logistics Division, Senior Vice-President Rolf Jansson.

VR Transpoint has in line with its strategy sold Transpoint International Group’s holdings in Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic and continues its operations through a partnership agreement.

Raben Group was established in 1931 and has operated in Poland from 1991. The company has an extensive pick-up and delivery network in Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic and other parts of Europe. The company has 8,000 employees internationally.

Operations in Finland continue as at present.

Transpoint International Group operates VR Transpoint’s international road transport and offers groupage, part and full load transport services between Finland and the following countries and areas: Russia, the Baltic States and Central Eastern European Countries.
