While the IRSMI has just successfully delivered certificates to the 24 participants of the 2012 session, the Institute is proudly announcing the 2013 session of its Senior Manager Programme:

  • Module 1 – China (Shanghai/Beijing): 22 April – 3 May 2013
  • Module 2 - France (Lyon/Paris): 17 June – 28 June 2013

Leadership training for Senior Railway Managers through the knowledge of EML (the Executive Education subsidiary of EM Lyon Business School – one of the Top European Business Schools in Europe) in combination with the active participation of international industry experts will remain the basics of our 2013 session.

IRSMI is not willing to provide off-the-shelf solutions, but prefers to develop integrated custom programmes designed to:

  • Help railways devise and implement new strategies and managerial solutions
  • Support railways’ sustainable development

The IRSMI programme targets Senior Railway Managers and Leaders with at least 10 years of managerial experience and the potential to take on a top management role. A key goal is to bring together executives from diverse backgrounds and areas of the world.

The programme has three core objectives:

  • Developing a breadth of transversal business skills consistent with the latest in international best practice
  • Building strong leadership competencies to maximise the personal impact of senior railway managers
  • Encouraging international benchmarking and networking through a diversity of participants, academics, and industry experts

In addition to the post programme certificate participants will acquire credits towards the Executive MBA Programme of EML Executive Development – ranked nr 3 worldwide in terms of career development after completion of the programme by the Financial Times ranking 2012.
