The railway construction project between Armenia and Iran is still in the development stage, said Armenian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan.
“Our plans include two major projects – the construction of the railway between the two countries and the Iran-Armenian oil pipeline”, said Armen Movsisyan.
He also added that the implementation of these two projects would raise the level of economic cooperation between the two countries.
According to estimates, the project may cost up to $ 2.8 billion.
Construction of the line is currently under discussion with Russia, Iran and China. The World Bank and the Asian Development Bank are also interested in this project.
