Each year, SBB invests around 10 million Swiss francs in the upkeep of its train toilets, which are used approximately 135,000 times a day. By the end of 2014, a further 14 million francs will be allocated to WC disposal facilities and systems. SBB wishes to upgrade its fleet’s WC facilities and by the end of October 2013, the 700 plus toilets on IC 2000 and ICN trainsets will be refitted with clear plastic film and provided with an air freshener system.
