Czech Republic: ČD expands its accessible fleet to record numbers and introduces new accessible connections

In 2012, ČD expanded its rolling stock by a record number of new accessible trains and carriages – 83. Thanks to this, ČD’s flotilla of accessible carriages and train units has grown to a total of 537, allowing it to dispatch a total of 3,989 accessible trains in the 2013 timetable. Year-on-year, the number of accessible connections has thus increased by 752. At present, almost 60% of ČD’s connections are accessible.
